The MPA lends a hand to the volunteer action centre in Contrecœur
The MPA is proud of its community involvement in a region that is so close to its heart! On October 23, a team of volunteers participated in the annual food drive of the Centre d’action bénévole de Contrecœur. This event is held to collect donations (food and money) to be distributed to people in need at various end-of-year activities.
In total, close to 6,010 pounds of non-perishable food and $4,264 in cash were collected, thanks to about 100 volunteers, including 17 members of the MPA and their families.
Every year, the MPA is involved in about 60 projects supporting the communities neighbouring its facilities, through investments or volunteer actions.
The Port of Montreal has been operating a bulk terminal in Contrecœur for over 30 years and is currently planning the largest expansion project in its history.
